New Video Released – “Coping with Our Own Suffering” is Latest Video in the Series- October

The most recent release of the video series, “The Journey-Shepherding God’s People” is “Coping with Our Own Suffering”; which focuses on how those of us in the third chapter of life can find themselves feeling alone in their suffering praying for relief and praying that God would take the lead and open the door to a better reality.

“As we struggle, we remember that Jesus struggled, too. He suffered in the Garden of Gethsemane before His passion and death. It seemed that God was not listening to his plea. Jesus’ reply was simply, and probably dejectedly: “Your will be done.” … And then, three days later, the Resurrection!”  said Rev. Carol Jubenville, Program Coordinator. “For Jesus, it was just as God had promised in the Old Testament: “I will never fail you or forsake you.” (Dt 31:8) – a reminder for us that no matter the tortuous road that we may be traveling, sooner or later, there will be a fork that will take us to relief, fulfillment and joy”

This video series is intended to bring people living in senior housing, assisted living, skilled nursing and for those finding it difficult to attend church services, a sense that their faith community has not forgotten them. The viewer(s) will be able to experience a time of worship with an uplifting message, familiar hymns, and centering prayers. As we bring “church’ into your home Reverend Carol Jubenville, a Methodist Pastor and Fr. Tom Servatius, a Roman Catholic Priest, will review scripture and discuss thoughtful ways in which you will be able to connect to your faith journey.  The videos and other content are available on the web site www.TheJourneyVideo.com. Included on the website are blogs and bible studies that coincide with each video allowing for deeper understanding of the message and scriptures. The program is funded by St. Joseph’s Pastoral Care, Inc., and all content and videos are offered at no charge and are copywritten.
