The most recent release of the video series, “The Journey-Shepherding God’s People” is “Giving Thanks”; that aims to bring the viewer to understanding where joy comes from. The video series and accompanying tools are designed to help those feeling separated from their faith community get connected. The series is comprised of the video time of worship, a blog and three bible studies that can be used as a Spiritual Wellness program for those in their third chapter of life wherever they live.
Perhaps a stunning dawn vista caught your breath. Or the swell of emotion as you held your newborn grandchild. Or you recall the happiness of hearing the laughter of children, or the warmth of sharing a special meal with friends. “Despite the suffering, disasters, and tragedies, we have to admit that life can also bring us moments of joy and appreciation.” said Rev. Carol Jubenville, Program Coordinator. “At those moments, we are filled with thanksgiving and some of us may ask, “Why am I so blessed?”
This video series is intended to bring people living in senior housing, assisted living, skilled nursing and for those finding it difficult to attend church services, a sense that their faith community has not forgotten them. The viewer(s) will be able to experience a time of worship with an uplifting message, familiar hymns, and centering prayers. As we bring “church’ into your home Reverend Carol Jubenville, a Methodist Pastor and Fr. Tom Servatius, a Roman Catholic Priest, will review scripture and discuss thoughtful ways in which you will be able to connect to your faith journey.
The videos and other content are available on the web site www.TheJourneyVideo.com. Included on the website are blogs and bible studies that coincide with each video allowing for deeper understanding of the message and scriptures. The program is funded by St. Joseph’s Pastoral Care, Inc., and all content and videos are offered at no charge and are copywritten.
